A PluggableTerminal Blocks series two-piece pluggable terminal block uses the concept of a body
that clamps the wire, and then plugs into the socket or pinstip that is soldered into the PCB.The body
clamping design uses an elevator-style or rising bottom base mechanism, this vibration proof design
provides excellent contact qualities and resistance to vibration ensuring that connections are secure
and reliable for the life of the final product. Sockets are available with and without sidewalls; the sidewall provides a greater degree of
security by shrouding the contact pins and preventing misalignment of the contacts while the basic
body/socket design makes sure that the body can only be inserted correctly. Sockets are also available with mounting or locking flanges. Mounting flanges provide additional
security to the PCB, while locking flanges interlock the body and socket after installation. A variety of socket designs allow various body insertions such as: parallel, perpendicular or
oblique to the printed circuit board, with flexibility to meet the needs of the designer. A choice of
metric and standard lead spacing is available. In summary, the range of contacts series plug-in screw connectors features a wide variety of
components that can be interconnected in a multitude of combinations. This design pluggability for easy
maintenance with a highly proven screw connection technology. It means the only tool requied for
connecting operation is a screwdrive.
